In the years from 1942 to 1945 nickel was an essential metal to the war
effort, and so the US government changed the composition to eliminate
nickel, mostly Copper 56%, Silver 35%, and Manganese 9%. These are
the only US five cent nickels to ever be made with silver. We are
now
offering the complete set of War Nickels. Each coin comes slabbed in
the protective SGS cases, sealed with the gold SGS seals, and serial
numbered. Each
